SVDP's annual (and only) fundraiser

This is the only SVDP fundraiser of the year, so it is very important in our efforts to help the poor and needy of the San Marcos community.  The needs are overwhelming!  27.7% of San Marcos residents are living below the federal poverty line (vs 12.5% Nationwide). 

In St John’s Claretian Hall: 

• 9:00 a.m.: Registration: Turn-in pledge sheets and funds
• 9:00 a.m.: Snacks and drinks 
• T-shirts Sales: $15 (Free T-shirt to those who raise $100) 
• 9:20 a.m.: Welcome announcement 
• 9:30 a.m.: Opening Prayer and Reflection 
• 9:45 a.m.: Photo in front of Church and St. Vincent de Paul prayer
• 10:00 a.m.: River Walk for the Poor begins: 2 mile walk along the beautiful San Marcos River
• 11:00 a.m.: Return to Claretian Hall 
• 11:15 a.m.: Lunch 
• 11:30 a.m.: Door Prize Drawing 
• 12:00 noon: Short reflection on the vocation of serving for  the Society of St. Vincent de Paul 
•  Complete survey of walk (optional)

• $50 gift cards will be awarded to the top three fundraisers 
• Three door prizes will be given out: $25 gift cards
